Gobbo's Grotto is a 3D Tower Defense game developed by my studio team during my singapore polytechnic enrollment, Studio 23:59.

Personal Contributions

Shaders & Particle FX

During the project, I was responsible for creating vfx AND SHADERS FOR GAMEPLAY PURPOSES - ranging from weapon VFX to enemy visuals.

I had a blast making these effects and would further explore it in the future.

Creating these effects was a highly insightful experience that deepened my understanding of visual design and technical implementation.

Through the exploration of unity's shader graph & VFX Graph , I've gained knowledge on the basics of shader implementations in games and how to manipulate materials in them through making my own exposed parameters on the shaders i make, allowing for easy access and modifications for my teammates if needed to.

Some basic things I've learnt was how to apply global shader overlays on the enemies - a fresnel glow effect (outline) by utilising unity's urp render object feature.
